We are looking to fill the following position

Senior QA Engineer – JS / Cypress (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility

  • Design, write, and maintain automated test cases for web applications and REST APIs, with a strong focus on Cypress using JavaScript
  • Provide manual testing support for new features and regression cases
  • Contribute to the integration of Cypress test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyze test results, report bugs clearly, and provide actionable feedback
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Maintain and update QA documentation, test plans, and related tooling
  • Share best practices and mentor team members in Cypress, test design, and automation strategy

Your qualifications profile

  • 5+ years of experience in both automated and manual testing, including 2+ years of deep hands-on experience with Cypress, including:
    • Writing modular and scalable tests using JavaScript/TypeScript
    • Structuring tests with Page Object Models and custom commands
    • Testing dynamic content, intercepting GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Solid experience in REST API testing, using Cypress and tools like Postman
  • Working knowledge of SQL/DB, able to validate and manipulate data for test scenarios
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design techniques, and software development life cycles
  • Experienced in Agile team environments, with excellent team collaboration and English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Nice to have: ISTQB certification(s)

  • MERKUR BETS offers a gross salary starting at € 3.500.-- per month (40 hrs/week) for this position, which exceeds the collective bargaining agreement, with corresponding additional payment offered in accordance with specific qualifications and experience.
